The BAM mount is designed for quick distance compensation when using an Red-dot sight. Featuring dual knobs calibrated for distances from 200 to 1000 meters (depending on model and caliber), the BAM also supports attaching an Aimpoint 3X or 6X magnifier using an Flip Mount ring or the Aimpoint TwistMount for enhanced long-range accuracy.
The integrated Flip Mount/Aimpoint Twist mount base ensures that the red dot remains centered in the magnifier or night vision device as it moves parallel to the sight. This eliminates the need for hold-overs, allowing users to simply adjust the knob to the estimated distance and aim directly at the target. The BAM is effective for both machine guns and rifles.

Twist Mount (Aimpoint TwistMount):
- 800-meter version: For 5.56 NATO. SM-101QD-2
- 1000-meter version: For 7.62 NATO. SM-101QD-1, NSN 1005-22-639-7272
Flip Mount (Patented):
- 800-meter version: For 5.56 NATO. SM-101QD-4
- 1000-meter version: For 7.62 NATO. SM-101QD-3

Additionally, the BAM can be configured to mount two red dot sights, each zeroed for a separate barrel on a machine gun. This allows the gunner to activate the sight corresponding to the active barrel, improving first-shot hit probability without the need for tracers.
